Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi celebrated H.M. the Queen of Thailand’s 78th Birthday Anniversary in August 2010

            Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi celebrated H.M. Queen Sirikit’s 78th Birthday Anniversary during 5 – 6 August 2010 for Thai nationals and their families residing in the UAE.

            On 5 August 2010, H.E. Mr. Somchai Charanasomboon led Embassy’s officials, staffs, and a number of Thai national to donate their blood in devotion of their good deed to H.M. the Queen of Thailand at Abu Dhabi Blood Bank. This is an annual activity which the Embassy has organized during Their Majesties the King and Queen’s Birthday Anniversary.   

            On 6 August 2010, at 14.30 hrs., the Embassy hosted a charity bowling tournament among Thai nationals in the UAE, challenging for trophies from H.E. the Foreign Minister of Thailand, H.E. the Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, and H.E. the Ambassador of Thailand to the UAE. This year, 80 people participated at the event and proceeds after expenses would be presented to H.M. the Queen for charitable course.                       

            At 18.30 hrs. of the same day, the Thai community and their families of around 400 were present at the Thai Ambassador’s Residence to express their loyalty and reverence as well as to best wish H.M. the Queen on the occasion of Her 78th Birthday Anniversary. Attendants were invited to sign the book of congratulations, lid the candles, and sing royal anthem in honour of the Queen. Exhibition of H.M. the Queen’s activities was on display and admired by all participants.
